Overview - IYT Small Powerboat & RIB Master Certificate course

The Small Powerboat and Rib Master course will introduce students to the basics of small powerboats, dinghys and rigid inflatable boats (RIB), rules of the road, safety at sea, navigation and weather basics, engine checks, boat maintenance, close quarters and high speed maneuvering skills and much more. The objective of the course is to develop the skills and gain the knowledge to safely handle small boats and dinghys. Whether simply spending a day out in sheltered waters or crossing an ocean, there is no substitute for safety awareness, common sense and a solid foundation of maritime knowledge.

Students who participate in the Small Powerboat and RIB Master Certificate course with Gulf Charters benefit from our marina based training center, quality powerboats and sailing yachts and experienced instructors. The course combines classroom theory with practical "hands on" application to give students a well rounded introduction to boating basics.

The Gulf Charters IYT Small Powerboat and RIB Master Certificate course cost includes all powerboat, classroom and instructor costs, all course materials and manuals and IYT registration and certificate fees.
