The total price for each of our 3 Certificate course includes all instructor and yacht expenses, training manuals and classroom materials, the IYT Passport to Yachting Logbook and IYT Registered Certification. Also included is accommodation onboard, all provisions, food and beverages on the boat. In addition, for the Watchkeeper course we provide you with charts and navigation equipment which is included in the course cost.

Join-in event cost can vary depending on activity, duration, yacht to be used and other factors. Please contact for specific event details.

Gulf Charters is happy to assist with the arrangement of onshore accommodation; we offer several options ranging from budget hut style bungalows through to 4 star accommodation, all located on premises or within a short walking distance of the marina. Alternatively, you may make your own arraignments, however we do recommend that you arrange to stay close to the marina as transportation to and from central Pattaya can be tiring after a hard day of sailing. Upon receipt of your inital inquiry, we will send you the details of local accommodation options and pricing, which we can gladly book for you as a part of your training package.

Once you have decided which course, package or event is right for you, then check the schedule and find the most convenient dates. We require a 25% deposit to confirm booking and hold your place on the selected dates. Courses and events are limited in size and space will be awarded based on the order in which deposits are received. Once we receive your deposit, we will e-mail you the appropriate course instruction manuals or event package information for your review before you arrive. Please contact us directly for payment instructions.

Our most popular package, the Gulf Charter Sailing School Zero to Hero program is designed to take students through all 3 of our IYT course offerings in a fast paced 14 Day Training Session which combines classroom theory, weather and navigation exercises, linehandling and ropework, marina docking and sailing drills, onboard yacht orientation, passage planning, live-aboard sailing experience and other sailing skill essentials. Students typically log nearly 400 nautical miles of hands-on sailing experience during the program. The full-time nature of the Zero to Hero program immerses students in the ways of ships and the sea and is a proven method of providing students with the knowledge and abilities they need to go sailing. At the end of your training session, you will be examined and evaluated to receive your IYT Bareboat Captain's certificate.

The Zero to Hero package price includes on board accommodation for the nights the vessel is underway, all meals onboard, all yacht and instructor costs, all classroom materials, IYT Passport to Yachting/Logbook, IYT Registration and IYT Bareboat Captain Certificate upon course completion.

Students who sign up for the International Crew, Watchkeeper and Bareboat Captain course at the same time will receive a package discount. You may complete the courses by attending any 2 back to back training sessions or individual courses as they fit into your time frame . There is no time limit in completing the courses. Class space is subject to availability and the courses must be taken in order. There would be the opportunity to join in some sailing events between courses, but one advantage of this approach is that you would have time off between courses to explore Thailand a bit or go back to work or whatever.

Students who sign up for any 2 back to back training courses will receive a package discount from the individual course price. You can complete Crew and Watchkeeper or Watchkeeper and Bareboat Captain as the courses fit into your time frame.

Our monthly 5 day/4 night Milebuilders are a great way to get a feel for what life on board a cruising or charter yacht is really all about. Whether covering long ocean miles or exploring little visited anchorages in the Ko Chang archipelago, you are sure to gain experience which will last a lifetime.

These sailing adventures are scheduled throughout the year and normally being our trips from the remote fishing village of Salek Phet on the southeaster corner of Ko Chang and we finish our trip at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club located on South Jomtien Beach. Our monthly newsletters highlight the schedule of upcoming voyages. 20,000THB includes all your expenses except for provision, alcohol and meals ashore. We provision as a group to provide a valuable lesson of what to purchase for each day of the trip, which helps you when sailing alone next time.

Every early April a remarkable sailing event takes place coinciding with Songkran, the Thai Water Festival. Gulf Charters organizes a fleet of yachts and nearly 100 sailors for a cruise among the spectacular islands of the Ko Chang archipelago. The first week in May has Gulf Charter Sailing School students out on the water yet again competing with over 400 other sailors in what has become Thailand’s second largest yacht racing event. This 5 day event is characterized by its reputation for reliable winds and spectacular post race parties and entertainment. Students race one or more of our yachts in cruising class and gain valuable experience testing their abilities against other sailors and crews. You will definitely know the difference between a tack and a gibe after completing this event.

Unless other arrangements have been made, total payment is due on the first day of class or before departure for other Join-In Events and can be paid by cash or credit card in our office.

We understand that your schedule can change. Should a student cancel his enrollment before the course date, the deposit is non-refundable, but we are usually able to transfer your deposit payment to other more convenient dates without additional charge. Please give as much notice as possible so we can fill the vacancy.

Should a student decide to not continue with the training program or event, for any reason, Gulf Charters Thailand reserves the right to award a refund, either all, part or none of the payment received, on an individual basis.

Should the student 'No Show' for the enrolled course then the whole payment is forfeit.
