The Gulf Charters head office...
The Gulf Charters Head office is located just 120km southeast of the new Bangkok International airport at the beach side resort area of Jomthien, some 20kms south of Pattaya. There, our office is located within the Ocean Marina Complex, which offers a world class yacht marina facility, four star hotel complex along with budget beach hut style bungalow accommodation.
Getting there...
Gulf Charters is happy to arrange for a private taxi to meet you at the airport or you can take one of the airport limousines. There is also an airport shuttle bus service that runs between the airport and Jomthien.
Our Koh Chang Island base...
Koh Chang Island group is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is some 200kms southeast of Jomthien or 300kms southeast of Bangkok.
The Gulf Charters Ko Chang base is located at Island View Resort in Ao Salakpet bay which is on the south east end of the Ko Chang island.
Getting there...
From Bangkok (by air)
Bangkok Air operates several flights a day to Trat Airport which is just a 15minute drive to the Car ferry that operates between the mainland and Ko Chang Island.
We recommend that we arrange for a private minivan to meet you at the airport and take you all the way to the Gulf Charters base.
The journey on the car ferry including the normal cure time takes approximately one hour and the journey from the island side of the ferry terminal to the Gulf Charters base takes approximately 30minutes by car.
From Pattaya (by road)
There is a regular join-in minivan service that operates between the Gulf Charters office at Ocean Marina to the Ko Chang ferry terminal. From there we recommend that we arrange for a private minivan to meet you at the island side of the ferry terminal and take you all the way to the Gulf Charters base.
Alternatively Gulf Charters can make arrangements for a private minivan to take you from our Ocean Marina base (or your hotel) all the way to the Gulf Charters base on Koh Chang Island.
